A Morley pub will be serving ten beers from around the world alongside pints from the UK during a 17-day festival.
The ales on offer at the Picture House on Queen Street have been sourced from brewers in New Zealand, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Holland, Norway and the USA for the Wetherspoons Autumn Ale Festival.
The event will run from Friday October 16 until Sunday November 1 inclusive, with all the beers priced at £1.89 a pint. Many of the choices will be available in the pub for the first time, having been brewed exclusively for the festival.
Three rugby-themed beers are available to celebrate the ongoing World Cup, named Sin Bin, Tight Five and Tap & Go, plus seasonal varieties including two rye beers, a spiced ale and smoked porters.
“We are thrilled to be serving such a fantastic selection of beers from across the world as well as those from the UK,” said Picture House manager Jonathan Pierce.
“The festival will be the perfect way for real ale enthusiasts to enjoy a range of excellent beers from overseas brewers. It will also give them an opportunity to support brewers throughout the UK, as the pub is featuring many of their beers.”
Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of a festival pint. Tasting notes on all of the beers will be available in the pub.
