A 12-year-old schoolgirl’s campaign to save lives in her community and beyond is going from strength to strength after yet another defibrillator has been installed in a local school.
Cody’s Defibrillator Campaign raises funds to install the life-saving machines in places such as schools,
sports clubs, youth groups and community centres, the latest being at Blackgates Primary School in Tingley.
Cody said: “The campaign is going quite well because I now feel that I am raising a lot of awareness about defibrillators.
“ I now get people messaging me asking if I could give them fundraising ideas so they can get one for their children’s schools, churches etc.
“I got in touch with Blackgates and offered to donate one ot them.
“ I am also donating one to East Ardsley Primary School as the teachers there have already had training on how to use one.”
