Heavy metal band UFO are heading to Leeds as they celebrate the release of their latest studio album.

Ranked in VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock, the band have been part of the British rock scene for more than 45 years.

And for the first time in more than 20 years, UFO chose to record their new material here in the UK.

A Conspiracy Of Stars features 11 tracks which combine everything that the group surrounding frontman Phil Mogg stands for; meaty riffs, distinctive hooks, diverse songwritin, intelligent lyrics and the generally laid-back attitude for which the band has become known.

The album is the first featuring the current line-up which includes Paul Raymond on keyboards and guitar, Andy Parker on drums, lead guitarist Vinnie Moore and bassist Rob De Luca.

The band will perform material for their new album at the O2 Academy in Leeds on Sunday April 26.

Tickets priced £22.50 in advance are avbailable from www.o2academyleeds.co.uk or the box office on 01342 302000.
