Don’t miss the chance to snap up one of the last few tickets to The Donkey Sanctuary’s glittering Black Tie and Diamonds Ball on Saturday September 27.

This extra special party, to celebrate 15 years of donkey assisted therapy in the community, takes place in the glamorous surrounds of The Marriott Hotel.

It comes with the opportunity to purchase fantastic ‘diamond’ prizes and to bid for unique auction lots. All for charity, to raise funds for valuable donkey assisted therapy for the community.

Hosted by BBC Radio presenter Richard Edwards and with music from party band The Beatleaders featuring the Horns of Dilemma, the ball is sure to sweep guests off their feet!

This is your chance to snap up glittering ‘diamond’ prizes such as tickets to a Manchester United game, a helicopter ride or a spa day or to bid for auction lots such as signed shirts from the Leeds Rhinos rugby stars, the Yorkshire cricket team and the eventer Pippa Funnell. Bidding starts for the auction online this Monday September 22.

The event includes a red-carpet arrival and three-course dinner.

The Donkey Sanctuary Leeds Centre Manager, Cathryn Dixon, said: “This is going to be a great evening. We’re proud to be celebrating 15 years of providing donkey assisted therapy in Leeds and we’re really excited to have so many fantastic ‘diamond’ prizes and auction lots and to have such a great ten-piece party band to look forward to. We hope you’ll join us!”

Tickets are £50 per person with a 10 per cent discount for tables of eight or 10. To book or for information call The Donkey Sanctuary Leeds on 0113 2619249 or email

All proceeds will go towards providing further free donkey assisted therapy sessions to children and adults with additional needs in the Leeds area. The Donkey Sanctuary Leeds provides therapy to around 200 local children and adults each week. For information phone 0113 261 9249 or visit
