GILDERSOME'S 46th annual open village show will be held this weekend with the Lord Mayor of Leeds and the Mayor of Morley making a special visit.
The show will take place at St Peter's Church Centre on Saturday and will be opened by the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Coun Judith Elliott at 2.30pm.
Prizes will be awarded for the different categories including vegetables, flowers, handwork, cookery, photography and children's classes, which will be presented by Mayor of Morley Coun Shirley Varley.
An auction will follow at 5pm and there will be refreshments, a tombola, raffle and plant sale.
Admission is 50p for adults and free for children.
Meanwhile, there will be prizes and trophies galore awarded to winners of East and West Ardsley Allotment and Gardens Association's annual flower and vegetable show on Saturday.
Everything from potatoes and tomatoes to roses and pansies will be on show by members at St Michael's Church Parish Hall, East Ardsley.
Doors open to the public at 3pm and the official opening and presentation of prizes will take place at 4.45pm by Look North's Ian White.
There will also be a children's class with prizes for all entries and classes for non-members include baking, jam and potted plants.
An auction of produce will follow at 5.30pm and all proceeds from the day will be donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome to pop along on the day.
