A group of Morley campers have returned, after a trip to Delamere Forset, Cheshire.
The 16 youngsters and their 11 leaders camped at the hamlet of High Legh for a whole week.
They were joined on Thursday by Morley Mayor Coun Bob Gettings and by Coun Roger Bell, who is chairman of the town council Community Development Committee.
The campers participated in an action packed week, which included water sports, games, swimming and quizzes.
There was a night walk and a trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
The project was run by volunteers from churches and other organisations.
Dr Ray Baker, one of the volunteer leaders of the camping project, explained that the young people had thoroughly enjoyed this adventure holiday packed with meaningful activity. “This camp has provided a unique experience for many of these youngsters – they have had the time of their lives.” he said. “Hopefully these experiences will help them as they seek to chart a course for their lives”.
