A Morley quarry firm is working with two other Yorkshire companies to drive up standards in the use of recycled constructino materials.
Mone Brothers his helping EJ Lidster, based in Barnsley, and Hull’s Mike Wakefield Tippers Ltd. in their bids to receive Yorkshire Highways and Utilities Committee Accreditation for recycled Type One aggregates used in their contract work.
“We are working closely to ensure that their recycled construction materials conform to the most stringent of standards for civil engineering contracts across Yorkshire and have already helped the two companies hit the benchmark for
SMR (Structural Materials for Reinstatement),” said Mone Brothers operations director Steve Horsley.
“Between us we have many years of knowledge of the recycling, quarrying and aggregates sectors so we are well placed to provide the best possible materials. Mone Brothers is a pioneer in the manufacture of Recycled Type 1 and SMR
and we feel it is vital that we help to raise the bar for other companies operating in the sector as well as assisting with their sales strategies,”
Over the past five decades Mone Brothers has diversified into quarrying, recycling and plant and wagon hire. Supplying a wide range of products to both trade and retail, Mone Brothers has contributed towards many significant UK construction and civil engineering projects and was involved in recycling rubble from the old Yorkshire Post building for use as Type One on roads across Yorkshire.
EJ Lidster is involved in plant hire, haulage, demolition and site clearance, as well as running a recycling centre, while Mike Wakefield is based at Hull docks and supplies natural and recycled aggregates.
