Next month sees the return of the Morley Real Ale Beer Festival for its second year.

Last year’s inaugural festival attracted more than 1,500 visitors – and organisers are hoping for bigger and better things this time round as they make the final preparations.

The event opens at Morley Cricket Club on April 4, continuing throughout the weekend with real ale tasting, stalls, fair rides, a bouncy castle, live bands and food.

Organiser David Nebard said: “We are hoping to continue the success of the first festival last year and keep the family feel of the weekend.”

Hundreds of eager punters are again expected to fill the cricket club to sample the finest Yorkshire beers and ciders on offer.

The team behind the event is trying to encourage local businesses to show their support by getting in touch and sponsoring a barrel.

Mr Nebard said: “We are grateful for all the sponsors and it would be great if more people could get in touch.”
