A group of Morley youngsters were give a send-off by local councillor Judith Elliott as they headed off on their annual summer camp.
The 17 teenagers are spending a week in Delamere Forest in Cheshire taking part in adventure activities including water sports, swimming and camping, as well as visiting Gulliver’s Kingdom theme park.
The trip has been arranged by Morley Community Church and other local organisations, while Leeds City Council and Leeds Housing have funded it.
“We were keen to provide a much-needed break. The camp aims to be an adventure holiday with meaningful activity. It will promote good citizenship and they will be taking time to discuss the big issues of life.” said organiser Andy Dalton.
