Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver failed to stop after a cyclist was knocked over in Morley on Thursday morning (July 24).

The incident happened between 7.30am and 7.45am on Bruntcliffe Lane at the junction with Bruntcliffe Way.

A small black car - possibly a Fiat Punto or Ford Fiesta - collided with the cyclist, who suffered damaged tendons, cuts and bruises.

The driver then left without stopping.

PC Paul Morris of the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support team, said: “I would appeal to any witnesses or the driver of the car to contact police on 101 quoting the reference 301 of 24.07.2014.”
