Police appeal after jewellery stolen in Drighlington burglary

Police are appealing for information after items of jewellery were stolen from an elderly woman during a burglary in Drighlington.

Four men, aged between 21 and 31 have been charged in connection with the incident, on July 11. Police have managed to recover some of the possessions taken, but are still trying to trace the whereabouts of two rings.

Detective Constable Charles Maloney, of Leeds District Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “We have recovered a small amount of jewellery but there are a number of other items still missing that have great sentimental value to the victim. I am appealing for anyone who has been offered the items in the photographs for sale or who knows their current whereabouts.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call DC Maloney at Elland Road via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
