The Salvation Army in Morley has started a job club to help people get back into employment.

Employment Plus Local is open every Thursday, 10am-noon, to anyone who is searching for employment.

There are laptops available for job searching, compiling CVs, writing covering letters and for completing on-line applications.

There is also a team of volunteers to give support.

Abi Monteith, from the Salvation Army, said: “Job searching can be a lonely time that can make people feel insecure and inadequate. At the Salvation Army we aim to provide a friendly environment where people can be encouraged, have a friendly chat, as well as participating in the necessary tasks of finding a job.”

The Salvation Army is in Ackroyd Street . Call Abi Monteith or Major Colin Stevens on 0113 238 0422.
