Sex attacker jailed over Morley car park assaults

A pervert who told one of his victims he was going to bury her alive as her exposed himself has been jailed.

Aiden Hirst, 23, carried out a series of sex assaults around Morley earlier this year, three of which took place on May 13.

Leeds Crown Court heard how a 51-year-old woman was grabbed from behind and groped as she walked through the Queensway car park, next to Morrisons supermarket, with her daughter.

Shamaila Quereshi, prosecuting, said the woman was in “total shock” by the incident.

Hirst, of Fountain Street, then attacked an 18-year-old as she walked home from school.

He then flashed a 17-year-old girl a short time later.

Six days later he struck again, targeting a woman on Fountain Street as she walked towards Asda,

He brushed past her before turning around, exposing himself saying: “I’m going to rape you and bury you alive.”

She has suffered flashbacks since the incident, has been unable to sleep and is afraid to leave her home.

Hirst was arrested at his home and told officers that he had been unable to recall the incidents as he had been “off his face” on M-Kat and ecstasy.

John Bachelor, mitigating, said his client, who pleaded guilty to three offences of sexual assault and one of indecent exposure, had no previous sexual convictions for sexual offences and accepted that it must have been distressing for his victims.

Jailing him for two years and four months, he said: “You behaved in an appalling and disturbing fashion.

“You were under the influence of drugs at the time and you claim to have no recollection as a result of you taking these drugs.

“I have some difficulty in accepting that.”
