SLIDESHOW: Dartmouth Park dog show

The sun was shining for Morley’s canine population at the weekend for the town’s second fun dog show.

The Friends of Dartmouth Park organised Sunday’s show in the park on St Andrew’s Avenue and saw breeds of all shapes and sizes enjoying the many activities.

There were fun classes for dogs to enter, complete with prizes for the pooch with the waggiest tail and the pet who looked most like its owner.

Along with the fun agility class to have a go at, there were lots of doggy-type stalls and dog chipping and grooming.

Beatrice Myres from The Friends of Dartmouth Park said: “Thanks to all those who came and made it such a happy day.

“Thank you so much to Abbey House vets for working with us to make it such a success and to our generous sponsors, Blades Dog Grooming and Hydropaws, we could not have done it without you. Also, thank you to all who entered our membership prize draw, sponsored by Onwards and Upwards Estate and Lettings Agents.

“We were lucky to have the Mayor of Morley Coun Wyn Kidger and the Mayoress Coun Wenda Whitehead as our judges and they did a wonderful job and once again the dog agility course was hilarious. Altogether a great day.”
