Children at Churwell Primary School grabbed their dance shoes and sports vests for a week of activities and competitions.
The week began with a ‘Dance Spectacular at Headingley Stadium.
Pupils in years four, five and six, braved the rain and cold to bust their moves. They described the atmosphere as “electric”.
Later in the week, year five and six students battled it out in a contact tournament at Stanningley Rugby Union Football Club.
And the following day, girls in years four to six also visited the club for a tag rugby festival
The school’s netball team completed the week by competing with schools across the district at Leeds Beckett University in a grand final of ‘high-five netball’.
Physical Education leader Laura Walker said: “It was a busy sports week. All the children were a credit to take as usual.”
She added: “We have since achieved a ‘Gold Award Sports Mark’ for our hard work and dedication to PE and sport within our school. I am very proud and the hard work and time has paid off.”
