Have you shed a few pounds and have lots of your bigger clothes taking up much needed space in your wardrobe?
If so, then Slimming World’s Big Clothes Throw want them all!
For the past two years, Slimming World have held the clothes throw event where members donate all their old clothes they have slimmed out of to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Since 2013 the group has raised £1.8 million and this year want to make £3 million!
Michelle Carter, who runs the Churwell Slimming World club, said: “What we are asking everyone to do is to have a summer clear out and if you have any clothes, shoes, belts, handbags - basically anything that can be sold in the Cancer Research shops - then we’d like you to bring them along to the precinct in Morley this Saturday May 23 at 9am-2pm, when the Cancer Research van will be coming to collect the bags.
“ This is a great way of having a clear out and raising money for a worthy charity.”
