It’s a festival of fun this summer in Morley, with all kinds of entertainment and events coming to the town centre.
The traditional one-man Punch and Judy show will be back again this year performing in and around Queen Street on Saturday June 20 and July 18.
There is also the return of free donkey rides for children up and down the high street on the first weekend in June and the first Saturday in August.
Young dance groups the Bluebell Majorettes, Phoenix, the Shona Boocock Academy and the Gildersome-based FISDAC will also be performing around and about Luppy’s Diner.
Town events manager Rachael Kennedy said: “We’ve got a varied programme this summer with some welcome new visitors and entertainers.
“We’ve got a new community choir which will be performing and back again this year are things such as the donkey rides and popular clowns the Rapide Brothers, which always go down well.”
“We’re encouraging everyone to come out, shop local and have a look at what we’ve got in store.”
