Canadian crooner Michael Bublé has been revealed as the latest high-profile star booked in to play the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
Bublé is bringing his inimitable king of swing style to the £60m concert venue on Monday December 8.
The arena is one of only four UK venues to feature in the singer’s pre-Christmas tour.
And staff at the venue can’t wait to welcome a man whose vocal talents and laidback approach to performing have won him an army of admirers worldwide.
The arena’s director of sales and marketing, Tony Watson, said: “We are delighted to be one of the venues in Michael Bublé’s announced December tour.
“Our arena is known for its fantastic sound and great atmosphere, so we’re sure Bublé fans old and new will have a fantastic festive time.”
Places at the show are likely to be in much demand – Bublé sold more than 150,000 tickets for a 10-date residency in London last summer.
His sixth studio album, To Be Loved, went straight to number one on its release and continues to nestle in the top 20 almost a year later.
This month’s programme at the arena includes Gary Barlow and Elbow as well as Torvill and Dean’s Dancing on Ice live show.
Music artists lined up for the rest of the year, meanwhile, include Robbie Williams, Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Eric Clapton and The Eagles.
Tickets for Michael Bublé’s Leeds concert go on sale at 9am this Friday April 4, priced from £50.
Purchases can be made online via www.firstdirectarena.com, over the phone on 0844 248 1585 or in person from the customer service lounge at Trinity Leeds.
