Here we look back at what hit the headlines in Morley in February.

Dad of two Stephen Gaughan pledged to give up drinking for the entire year, having already completed Dry January, in a bid to raise money for children’s charity Dreams Come True.

Also in charitable spirit in February was MP Ed Balls who completed a blindfolded walk through Morley’s streets, as part of a campaign run by a guide dogs charity.

It was a happy month for Morley’s Diamond Jubilee Committee, which received a £10,000 cash boost to help with its World War One commemmorations.
