Three taken to hospital after fire crew rescue from embankment crash

Fire crews cut three people free from the wreckage of a Land Rover which had plunged down an embankment in Robin Hood last night.

Crews from Hunslet,Cleckheaton and Rawdon were called to reports three people were trapped in the Land Rover which had plunged 10m down an embankment in Kingsfield just before 10.30pm.

Three people were cut free from the wreckage and were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Crews from Morley and Stanningley were also called to Scott Green at Gildersome just after 10.30pm after a Renault Clio and a Chevrolet car were involved in a collision.

Firefighters cut the roof off a Chevrolet and an 18-year-old man who was a passenger in the car was taken to hospital suffering from suspected neck and leg injuries.

Three other people were taken to hospital for check-ups.
