Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify after a woman received serious facial injuries when she was hit by a chair thrown during a fight outside a Leeds pub.
The 24-year-old victim underwent surgery after suffering a double fracture to her cheekbone, a fractured nose and damage to her eye following the incident outside the Prince of Wales pub, in Mill Hill, in Leeds city centre in June this year. She is continuing to receive medical treatment for her injuries.
She was struck in the face by a chair that was thrown by the suspect during a fight involving a large group of men at about 11.30pm on Friday June 5.
Det Con Lucy Hooker, of Leeds District CID, said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident over the last four months but have not yet been able to identify the man shown on the CCTV image.
“The victim was very seriously injured and is still receiving treatment and it is vital that we trace the person responsible. The suspect was wearing a t-shirt with a large number three on the back and on the sleeve, as can be seen in the image. I would ask anyone who recognises him or who thinks they know who it might be to contact us immediately.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Hooker at Elland Road on 0113 385 9399 via 101 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
