Morley Town’s first team were undone by Tesfa Walton’s hat-trick as hosts St Nicholas triumphed 3-1 in Saturday’s Yorkshire Amateur Championship encounter.

Jovan Kioseff’s strike levelled the scores going into the half-time break but second-placed Saints eased to the points on the resumption.

In Division 2, high flying Farsley Celtic Juniors Reserves fought back from 2-0 down to beat a valiant Morley Town Reserves side 5-2.

James Gough and Josh Lazenby put Town 2-0 up only for Farsley to storm back thanks to strikes from Steven Wells (2), Matthew Anderson, Sam Ford and Alex Gyte.

In-form Jason Helm’s strike was cancelled out by Steve Hancock’s strike as Town’s third team were held to a 1-1 draw at Shire Academics.

On Saturday, Morley’s first team travel to Shire Academics (meet 1pm, kick-off 2.30pm), the reserves host Churwell Lions (meet 1.30pm, kick-off 2.30pm) and the third team entertain Old Batelians (meet 1.30pm, kick-off 2.30pm).
