Churwell racing driver Dan Cammish turned in another superb performance at Oulton Park with first and second places in rounds five and six of the Porsche Carrera Cup for his Redline Racing team.
Cammish started on pole for round five and led from start to finish. Having built a commanding lead ,a safety car delay allowed the filed to close the gap, only for Cammish to pull away again when racing resumed for a comfortable victory.
Cammish was only denied a second pole in qualifying for round six, when a yellow safety flag was brought out with Cammish three tenths of a second quicker than the field.
Starting second, he pushed last year’s multiple round winner Michael Meadows all the way to the flag, but in the end was content to settle for second place, increasing his championship lead to 21 points.
Cammish is now looking forward to performing in front of a Yorkshire crowd at Croft for rounds seven and eight of the Championship on June 27 and 28.
His loyal fans, the ‘ Cammy Army’, are sure to be out in force at his home track.
