HUNSLET NELSON CC climbed the Division One table when they beat Wrenthorpe A by 39 runs in the CYL on Saturday.
Another tremendous bowling display by Sohail Raz was the key as they dismissed their opponents for 135 in reply to 174-9.
Although opener Barry McCormack kept Wrenthorpe in the contest with a knock of 74 he found himself running out of partners as his team mates struggled to cope with Raz.
The Hunslet opening bowler proved virtually unplayable at times as he claimed six wickets at a cost of only seven runs from 15 overs. With Derrick Hammill (2-26) and Kashid Rashid (1-29) backing him up well Nelson were able to claim maximum points to climb up to fifth place.
Their batting effort had earlier been led by Rashid who hit 52 while Chris Allan contributed 40, Joe Smith 24, Danny Calverley 16 and Mike Savery 14.
